Well, the season for illness has begun in our home, and we are truly hopeful that this will be the worst of it. Tuesday evening last week Lillian started to cough and become congested, Liam followed on Thursday evening, then Kelly on Friday and me on Saturday. Other than the fevers for 4+ days for each of us, some pukey stuff, and sounding as though we all have emphysema, feeling as though we've been hit by a Mack truck, we're doing quite well.
Lillian had some fun putting stickers all over her brother the other day. She is learning things at a well enough pace. She is showing an interest in learning how to read. I keep trying to help her learn the alphabet but it's just not clicking completely yet, not the whole alphabet anyway. She is getting so excited forward to the trunk or treat this Saturday. Also, on the 16th we went to the Rock Creek Pumpkin Patch in Broomfield and on our way to the corn maze, while getting into her carseat Lillian slipped and fell out of the car and onto the hard packed dirt with the pointy rocks. She lacerated her head and started to bleed all over, luckily I didn't panic like some of the other moms around, which I found odd. After checking her out, finding the source of the bleeding and confirming that it was just a small cut, wrapping her head and making sure she was in "stable" condition ,lol, she said she was ready to go pick out her pumpkin. We did so and then headed back home. The doctor said on the phone that she'd like to see her, but it was up to us, so we went. She was "cleaned up" and sent home.
Liam is crawling around like he's in race and he pulls himself up onto things now all the time. He has a grand total of 8 teeth with more coming in. He loves his solids and before he became sick had a very veracious appetite. This last Saturday we spent a little while in the E.R. and he was diagnosed with croupe.
Kelly, even on his "death" bed, when he's not sleeping, he's trying to do homework. Luckily his teachers are being understanding, of course the flu has been spreading through the educational system and at his work like a wild fire. We of course acquired this illness through Lillian who received it from Church! Yeah!
I have been unable to have any clients for the past week, sad but they are patient, thank goodness. I was doing house calls until I became ill.... Oh well. The doctor says that this is going to last between 7-12 days with a longer lasting cough.
Good times! We are doing fantastic! The kids are great and we're still kicking! We love you all and hope that you're all doing well. Until later.....
Glad everyone is getting better. Great job staying calm when she hit her head :)
